Abstract
Na području između Vodovodne i Ružićeve ulice smjestila se stara industrijska zona grada Rijeke kao spomenik slavne davne prošlosti s nizom starih industrijskih zgrada reprezentativne građe i s složenim umjetničkim elementima. U svrhu relativizacije i oživljavanja toga područja nastoji se oplemeniti taj prostor izgradnjom "pješačkog mosta" koji bi spajao ta dva područja grada. Izgradnjom pješačkog mosta omogućio bi se lakši prelaz iz jednog dijela grada u drugi pa time bi se utjecalo na zdravlje ljudi i okoliš. Pješački most na Rječini bi svojom izgledom i atraktivnošću predstavljao "zeleni raj" u samom centru Rijeke, a time i novo turističko mjesto u Republici Hrvatskoj. S obzirom na svoju poziciju s mosta pogledao bi pucao na Trsat s jedne strane dok s druge strane na tunele moćnog industrijskog pogona pa stoga možemo možemo zaključiti da bi se na taj način spojila budućnost s slavnom prošlošću grada Rijeke.
