The aim of this master thesis is to give possible conceptual solution of revitalization of Brajda stream inside Rikard Benčić complex. Revitalisaton procedure of surrounding space by watercourse of Brajda stream and watercourse itself is conducted by the help of Guide for making plans of watercourse revitalization in Croatia. Steps from the plan are described in detail and applied in revitalization. This thesis defines extent, real and wanted state of stream Brajda, explaines terms of revitalization and regulation of watercourse, steps of it and benefits of providing those from ecological and aestethic aspect. Historical development and its key features are also shown in this thesis. As part of European Capital of Culture Rijeka 2020 in places of former factory complex, there are few buildings of industrial heritage that are being restaurated which are giving cultural purpose. The reconstruction of the complex is foreseeing a discovery and presentation of stream Brajda as part of new park, constructions on the stream are in process and are shown in description of existing condition. Main goal of revitalization is to attract people from city who don’t have access to green spaces for rest, tourists and holidaymakers. This master thesis describes and lists ways that will achieve set goals.
