Natural disasters, caused by climate change, have increasingly highlighted the impact on people and environment. One example of the most frequent natural disaster is flooding, caused by rising sea level. Consequently, flooding represents a great danger for people and buildings in coastal environment. In this research, the vulnerability of protected and preventively protected immovable cultural heritage in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County is analyzed due to rising sea level caused by climate change. In the first section, there is a short review of methods for vulnerability assessment applied to cultural heritage that had been already used in the world. Furthermore, for better understanding of the subject in this research, there is a short review of cultural heritage classification according to the law of the Republic of Croatia and Spatial plan of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. Moreover, there are examples of vulnerable cultural heritage that had been analyzed and there is a short review of project: “Analysis of the vulnerability of the coastal area of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County due to rising sea levels“ in 2022. Beside that, in main part of this research, there is a description of methodology that has been developed and used in this research for vulnerability assessment applied to cultural heritage due to rising sea level. Based on that, there is a review of researching results after application of the methodology that has been used for detail analysis of protected immovable cultural heritage in the area of Island of Krk and The City of Rijeka. In the end, there is a description of conservation measures for the vulnerable cultural heritage that can be used.
