Abstract
Razvijanje mediteranske gradnje kroz povijest rezultiralo je stvaranjem raznovrsnih stilova i tehnika koje se i danas primjenjuju. Stoljećima su lokalni materijali, poput kamena, opeke, drva i glinenog crijepa imali ključnu ulogu u oblikovanju ovoga stila. Kroz rad se analiziraju tradicionalne karakteristike i elementi u gradnji za svaku državu te njihove regionalne varijacije. Pažljivo odabrani materijali i tehnike gradnje rezultat su geografskog položaja, klimatskih uvjeta te dostupnosti resursa.
Abstract (english)
The development of Mediterranean construction throughout history resulted in the creation of various styles and techniques that are still used today. For centuries, local materials such as stone, brick, wood and clay tiles played a key role in shaping this style. The paper analyzes traditional characteristics and elements in construction for each country and their regional variations. Carefully selected materials and construction techniques are the result of the geographical location, climatic conditions and availability of resources.
