Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je određivanje vrijednosti geološkog indeksa čvrstoće (GSI) na temelju procjene inženjerskogeoloških značajki stijenske mase na području sjeveroistočnog dijela Istarske županije. Kartirani stijenski pokosi na odabranim lokacijama izgrađeni su od karbonatnih stijena, odnosno flišnih naslaga. Provedeno je terensko istraživanje stijenskih masa u zasjecima prometnica na četiri različite lokacije te definiranje inženjerskogeoloških zona temeljenih jedino na značajkama stijenske mase. Definirane inženjerskogeološke zone podijeljene su na dvije manje zone ukoliko su značajke stijenske mase za pojedinu manju zonu bile dovoljno različite. Svakoj inženjerskogeološkoj zoni pridružena je procijenjena GSI vrijednost. Za određivanje GSI vrijednosti, korištene su pripadajuće tablice GSI vrijednosti. Za karbonatne stijenske mase, korištena je modificirana tablica GSI vrijednosti (Pollak, 2007.).
Abstract (english)
Objective of this paper is determining the value of the Geological Strength Index (GSI) based on the estimation of engineering geological rock mass characteristics in the northeastern part of the Istrian county. The mapped rocky road slopes on selected locations are made of carbonate rocks, i.e. flysch deposits. Field survey of rock masses was conducted in road cut slopes on four different locations and the definition of engineering geological zones based solely on the rock mass characteristics . The defined engineering geological zones are divided into two smaller zones if the rock mass characteristics for each smaller zone were sufficiently different. To each engineering geological zone was joined estimated GSI value. To determine GSI values, the corresponding GSI charts for flysch and carbonate rocks were used. For carbonate rock masses, a modified GSI chart was used (Pollak, 2007.)
