Abstract
In this Diploma thesis is showed a conceptual project of the irrigation system on a 32 hectares gross area at the Municipality of Malinska-Dubašnica on the island Krk. This study presents a technical solution for the given irrigation system. Computer program CROPWAT 8.0 was used to calculate crop irrigation water requirement and irrigation schedule for an average and dry year. Hydraulic analysis of irrigation systems is prepared using computer softer EPANET 2.0. Finally, the thesis presents a cost-effective irrigation hypothesis by producing an approximate cost estimation for the proposed design solution and compare the costs with the projected benefits of building such a system.
