Roads are built in cuts and on fills. All of these actions could cause slope movements thus making landslides a common occurrence on the roads. The topic of this thesis is the remediation of the Smrečje landslide on the Gerovo – Parg relation where, during a natural disaster in February 2014, landslide and escarpment on a part of the road appeared. Firstly, this thesis will discuss the types of slope movement as well as the cause of their appearance. Furthermore, the thesis will determine the cause of slope movements on the Gerovo – Parg realtion at the state road D32 and the results of the research that has been carried out on the subject location as the part of the remediation of this slope movement will be shown and commented upon. After the results have been shown, we will determine the geological profile and method of the remediation. Remediation was carried out by retaining structure during which two variants were built; bills with real sizes and prices were drawn up. In the final part a comparison of the work bills on the remediation will be shown during which it will be determined which variant is more cost effective, i.e. more preferable from economical and technological point of view.
