In the first part of the work, an analysis of three times statically indeterminate frame loaded with a horizontal force on the top of the column is conducted. The calculation was performed by using the force method and the displacement method to show that the final solutions of the system are equal, regardless of the selected calculation method. The expression for determining the horizontal displacement of the frame is determined by the displacement method. The vertical displacement of the frame due to the force acting on the center of the beam shall be determined by the force applied unit load method. The calculation procedure is done in detail with all necessary explanations and formulas. In the second part of the work, for the purposes of validating the theoretical calculation, an experimental test of the horizontal and vertical displacement of the frame was carried out. The experimental set-up, which includes all the means used for the purpose of determining the displacement, and the process of measuring the displacement of the frame itself, is described in detail. The modulus of elasticity of the frame is not specified, therefore it is determined from the correlation between the analytical and experimental horizontal displacement of the frame. At the end of the work, the values obtained by the calculation and the results of the vertical displacement test of the frame were compared. It has been established that although there are minimal deviations of the theoretical calculation from the experimental test, the theoretical calculation can sufficiently predict the behavior of the system under load.
