Abstract
Vrijednost pH ima značajnu ulogu u prirodi jer utječe na mnoge kemijske procese u tlu. U ovom radu prikazan je utjecaj pH vrijednosti na posmičnu čvrstoću materijala. Za potrebe istraživanja korišteni su dravski pijesak i glina ''Plišići''. Pomoću različitih tvari spravljene su otopine pH vrijednosti 3, 7 i 10. Uzroci su smješteni u kutije i natopljeni otopinama. Nakon trideset dana proveden je niz ispitivanja na uređaju za izravno smicanje u geotehničkom laboratoriju građevinskog fakulteta u Rijeci. Uzorke pijeska ugradili smo za dvije vrijednosti relativne zbijenosti kako bi proučili njezin utjecaj. Dobiveni rezultati za uzorak pijeska prikazali su da će doći do smanjene vrijednosti čvrstoće ukoliko se pH vrijednost poveća. Uzorak gline prikazao je porast čvrstoće porastom pH vrijednosti.
Abstract (english)
pH values have a significant role in the nature because they affect many chemical processes that are happening in the soil. In this paper various tests will be carried out to show how pH value affects shear strength. Sand from Drava river and clay ''Plišići'' were used for the purposes of this research. Different solutions with pH 3, 7 and 10 were prepared with the help of various substances. The samples were arranged in separate boxes and soaked in solutions. After thirty days, a series of tests have been carried out on direct shearing device in geotechnical laboratory. The samples of sand were tested for different relative densities. The results that were obtained from the sand samples have shown that there will be a decline in shear strength of the soil if the pH values are to be increased. On the other hand, studies conducted on the clay samples have shown that, when pH values are to be increased, the shear strength will also increase.
