In this thesis, a conceptual design of the water supply system for the settlement of Brinje was developed. The thesis includes hydraulic calculations and drawings, as well as a description of the location and rout of the designed water supply system. Vodovod d.o.o. was founded in 1993 and with his activities covers an area of 358.20 km2 with a population of 2563, of which Brinje alone has 1,267 inhabitants. Water is supplied to them through two water tanks that technicians must check daily for their function and water quality. The aim of this work is to improve and increase water supply system in Brinje. In 2022, due to prolonged drought, many houses were left with empty taps. Pumps at the Žižić spring had to be turned off due to low water levels. As a result, farms, industries, and gas stations were most affected. In such situations, I believe that an alternative source of water is more than necessary, such as water containers or reservoirs. It would be ideal to build an auxiliary pool, but due to the financial situation of the Brinje municipality, this is not possible. The thesis includes the design and dimensioning of the entire water supply system route, hydraulic calculations, pressure calculations, and sizing of the water pumps and tank. AutoCAD 2021 was used to draw the water supply network, and Grundfos software was used to size and select pumps for the purpose of increasing water pressure.
