The aim of this final work is the analysis of the traffic and construction elements to determine the state, efficiency and safety of traffic at the intersection and recommend minimum measures to improve the situation. Before the start of designing the at-grade intersection it is necessary to reassess the construction and traffic requirements. The intersection should satisfy important conditions such as quality and safe flow of traffic which is especially important for the intersections in urban areas where you can meet more types of traffic. Then it is needed to adjust the elements within the intersection to the spatial possibilities, analyze the movement speed, throughput capacity and sight distance in the area of the intersection. During the conception of the intersection it is necessary to pay attention to adjust it more according to the regulations, which is a very demanding task because it must satisfy some definite conditions. In the example of Kvaternikova street in Rijeka, the analysis of intersections in transport complaisance, conflicting points, building components for all types of traffic and sight distance in the area of the intersection will be made by standard methods. This street belongs to the secondary network of urban roads, more accurately in the main streets because it connects the collector streets to the primary road network. In the analysis, three at-grade intersections, two of which have traffic lights and one is unsignalised, will be used.
