The goal of the final work is to design a steel construction for vehicles with a cover made of solar panels. The dimensions of the construction are: 5,0 m wide, 3,66 m total height and 30,0 m long. The topic of this final work is to estimate the steel canopy for vehicles which is exposed to wind and snow action. The canopy is designed for the purpose of covering cars in order to protect them from the weather and ensure a sufficient amount of parking spaces for students on the Kampus, in Rijeka. The cover of the canopy is made up of solar panels, the application of which is becoming increasingly widespread in the world today. Using the Robot Structural Analysis Professional System program, the internal forces in the V columns, in the main as well as in the secondary supports were obtained. The dimensioning of the structural elements was carried out for the limit state of load capacity and the limit state of serviceability. The details of the connection of the column to the foundation and the connection of the column to the main support were also solved, and the calculation of screws and welds was carried out for each of them. The main static system consists of pairs of V columns and the main support, at a distance of 6,0 m.
