Abstract
Integralno upravljanje vodama je način upravljanja vodama koji uključuje koordinaciju svih aspekata upravljanja vodenim resursima radi postizanja održive ravnoteže između ekoloških, društvenih i ekonomskih potreba. Ovaj pristup prepoznaje složene interakcije između vodnih ekosustava, ljudi i industrije te teži postizanju sinergije između različitih sektora. Ključna karakteristika integralnog upravljanja vodama uključuje povezivanje različitih sektora radi boljeg uzajamnog razumijevanja i zajedničke koordinirane akcije. Nadalje, integralni pristup fokusiran je na dugoročnu održivost vodnih resursa i ekosustava, prevenciju potencijalnih problema kroz njihovo aktivno prepoznavanje i saniranje te učinkovito korištenje resursa tako da se maksimizira korist, a minimiziraju negativni učinci ili gubitci. Da bi se potaknulo integralno upravljanje vodama, postoji sve veći broj zakona i regulacija na različitim razinama. Ovi zakoni promiču suradnju među sektorima, reguliraju dopuštene gospodarske utjecaje te podržavaju inovacije koje podržavaju održivost vodnih resursa. Kroz ovakve regulativne okvire, nastoji se stvoriti poticajno okruženje za usklađivanje s ciljevima integralnog upravljanja vodama, stvarajući tako trajniju budućnost za vodne resurse na Zemlji.
Abstract (english)
Integrated water management is an approach that involves coordinating all aspects of water resource management to achieve a sustainable balance between ecological, social, and economic needs. This approach recognizes the complex interactions between water ecosystems, people, and industries, and aims to achieve synergy across different sectors. A key characteristic of integrated water management involves connecting various sectors to enhance mutual understanding and coordinated actions. Furthermore, the integrated approach is focused on the long-term sustainability of water resources and ecosystems, anticipating potential issues through active identification and remediation, and optimizing resource use to maximize benefits while minimizing negative impacts or losses. To encourage integrated water management, there is a growing number of laws and regulations at various levels. These laws promote collaboration among sectors, regulate allowable economic impacts, and support innovations that uphold water resource sustainability. Through such regulatory frameworks, the aim is to create an encouraging environment for alignment with the goals of integrated water management, thus forging a more enduring future for Earth's water resources.
