The final paper "Retaining walls : Soil Pressure and Stability Analysis" looks at the correlation between soil pressures and retaining walls whose problems go back in history. The types of pressures will be compared and how each type affects the supporting structure, whether it is active, passive or at rest pressure. "Rankine's condition" will be explained and what conditions it must meet in order for this condition to be realized. The calculation of soil pressure coefficients will be presented, as well as which approach individual experts had and which solutions they proposed, as well as how it is possible to obtain the result of soil pressure with the help of a graphical method. The role of water is also important in all of this, and what kind of action it creates for us and how to approach this problem. Retaining walls are one of the most well-known types of supporting structures, and it will be shown what types exist and how a particular earth pressure affects them. Finally, it will be explained what kind of stability checks are performed for retaining walls and what conditions must be met to ensure that the retaining wall is reliable and this will be accompanied by a calculation example of a retaining wall according to Eurocode.
