The project describes the conceptual design of the bearing capacity and usability of an arch structure with pavement beams and columns, calculated as a planar polygonal stick model. The continuous steel span construction that connects the island of Pag with the mainland via Ljubački vrata is 279.6 m long and is supported by a series of pairs of concrete columns. The bridge is arched over the sea with a concrete arch spanning 193.2m, while its highest point above the sea is 38.74m high. The total width of the bridge is 10.5 m. The compressive effect of the wind on the structure wa calculated in accordance with Eurocode norms and regulations, as well as the load of motor vehicle traffic along the roadway. The effect of occasional snow in this task is neglected due to the geographical location and and due to the impossibility of the simultaneous effect of snow with gusts of wind, which will have higher values, which is why it was ultimately counted as authoritative. The construction is shown as twodimensional, and due to a small lack of geometry data of the bridge, some dimensions are approximately estimated. Sketches of the model were created in the Autocad program, while the final solution to the problem, after entering the appropriate geometry and the relevant calculated load combinations, was obtained with the Staad.pro program. The results of the load capacity are shown by diagrams of longitudinal and transverse forces and bending moments, and the usability of the structure is shown by a sketch of final deflections.
