In the construction industry, accuracy and coordination are of paramount importance. To ensure the quality of construction, computer tools such as Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis are utilized, enabling precise modeling and analysis of the structure. The focus of this work is the dimensioning of a steel structure in the picturesque coastal region of Croatia, with a particular emphasis on snow load and wind speed. An impressive structure with a dual – pitched roof, canopy, and offices has been carefully deisigned in accordance with relevant Croatian standards and National annexes. An additional component is a crane runway with a 10 – ton crane. The chosen materials are thermal insulater sandwich panels, known for their high thermal insulation properties and low specific weight. All structural elements have been dimensioned for the ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state, following a meticulous analysis of various loading conditions, including self – weight, snow and wind. Different elements echibit varying degrees of utilization, with the average utilization rate of the structure being 70 %. Particulat attetion has been given to connection details, including the base connection of columns, upper chord – column connection, lower chord – column connection and the panel – lower chord connection. All connections have been executed using fasteners such as bolts and welde, with an average utilization rate of 80%. The project's objective is to achieve precise results, maximize the utilization of structural elements, and ensure a safe, functional and cost – effective construction.
