In this thesis, one of the variants of the revitalization of the port of Mrtvi kanal, mentioned in the thesis "Analysis of the possibility of development of the harbor in Mrtvi kanal" by Kristina Kustić from 2022, will be discussed in more detail. One of the analyzed proposals was the construction of a ship's lock under the Most kod kazališta. This would enable the passage of larger vessels into the port of Mrtvi Kanal. In the introductory part, the port of Mrtvi Kanal is described, and an overview of basic information about ship locks is given - from the division by type of ship locks to the description of lock elements and their working principles. Two solutions of the ship's lock were presented. One variant of the ship's lock is 6.9 m wide with double doors designed for the passage of two vessels. The second variant is a 4.4 m wide lock with a single wing gate and with the possibility of passing only one vessel. A comparative analysis of the variants as well as their cross-section is presented. At the end, as a conclusion - both variants of the lock represent a relatively simple solution to the problem of entering/exiting the port, regardless of the water level under the bridge Most kod kazališta.
